This African crane was photographed at San Diego Safari Park. I've tried photographing them before, but never felt happy with the results. I liked this one enough to show it.
These interesting birds fish by lifting their wings up to shade the water, making it possible to see the nearby fish, in order to spear them with their long sharp bills. It almost looks as if they are dancing as they move around.
This is a different shot of the same Sora. I felt lucky to see it, and especially get an almost unobstructed view between the cattails.
