Sanderlings ~ There were several flocks of Sanderlings feeding at shoreline. I love their behavior, skittering out of the way of the waves, moving as a group, on the fastest little legs ever. This was just two of a flock that I captured with my camera.
Marbled Godwit ~ On the beach at Crystal Cove, there were several shorebirds feeding in the outgoing tide. They all seemed to be more interested in eating than worrying about the humans walking along the sand.
Whimbrel ~ This Whimbrel was feeding at shoreline, with Willets, Marbled Godwits and Sanderlings. It was the only Whimbrel in the crowd. Here he looks like he's marching to his own drummer...
