Morro Bay, CA
These American Avocets in breeding plumage were photographed at San Jacinto Wildlife Area. They were probably feeding in a friendly way, but I thought it was fun seeing them as in a face-off.
This Long-billed Curlew was at Bolsa Chica wetlands area in Huntington Beach, CA.
