Sandhill Cranes at Sunrise ~ These early Sandhills were flying out to the fields to feed, making their wonderful melodious calls. #This photo was slected as a finalist in Photographer's Forum magazine's 31st Annual Spring Photography Contest, and will be published in their Best of Photography 2011. Moon Flight of the Geese ~ These Ross's Geese were flying from a pond to the grassy fields to feed. I loved the group flight against the morning moon.
Dawn Flight of Geese ~ In the warm light of dawn, hundreds of Snow Geese and Ross's Geese flew into the ponds near Salton Sea, to begin the day, before flying out to the grassy fields. They make an amazing vibration and sound with their wings and their calls.
