Say's Phoebe ~ This phoebe was photographed at San Jacinto Wildlife Area in Southern California. It was flying out to catch insects, and kept returning to one of two metal posts. He was pretty cooperative in posing for his portrait.
Gray-crowned Rosy Finch ~ This finch was photographed at Virginia Lakes Resort. This is a very high elevation bird, and isn't usually easy to find. I was very happy to see it there.
Cassin's Finch ~ This high elevation finch was photographed at Minaret Vista, out of Mammoth Lakes.
