~ It was a cloudy and overcast day, and I wondered out loud whether Lake Louise could possibly have its famous turquoise-blue color without a shred of blue sky overhead. Yep, it sure did! Early morning, the lake was glass-smooth, and the reflections were amazing. Would have like a better sky, but you take what you get out there!
~ Around the Banff National Park, there are enormous craggy peaks everywhere you look. This is one viewed while exploring Johnston Canyon one early morning as the sun rose. Although I didn't get any pics of them, on this drive I saw a mother wolf and her two pups--very exciting.
