When I was out at San Jacinto Wildlife Area the other day, some areas were just covered with this type of yellow wildflower. This is one of the ponds of this wetlands area in all its Spring glory. 4/1/19 Judith Sparhawk
At San Jacinto Wildlife Area a couple of days ago, I spotted this view of one of the ponds surrounded by Wild Mustard plants. These plants were more than 6 feet high, and were reflected in the water. I know that mustard is an invasive plant and we're not supposed to like it, but it was quite spectacular. On the hillside beyond are patches of various yellow wildflowers. 3/28/19 Judith Sparhawk
This is a view of the San Bernardino Mountains with some snow remaining on the upper peaks, above the San Jacinto Wildlife Area with its wildflowers. Although the snow is disappearing, some remains as evidence of a rainy winter. 4/15/19 Judith Sparhawk
