I know it's December--in fact only a couple of days before Christmas--but here in Southern California, you never know when fall color will show up! I went birding down at San Jacinto Wildlife Area today. The birds were fairly skittish (it's duck hunting season down there two days a week), but I was surprised to see so much color still in some of the trees. With the sun hitting them just so, it made a very pretty sight! 12/23/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
When I was birding at San Jacinto Wildlife Area the other day I hiked farther back than usual, and I saw this view which was really quite pretty. I had never noticed the mountains from there before. They are really much farther away than they look here, due to the magic of zoom lenses. This is part of the San Jacinto Mountain range, the range just south of the San Bernardinos, which are those I see from my house. I was the only one out there birding for several hours, and it was very peaceful. 11/2/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
