Walking in my son's neighborhood in San Diego, I was surprised at how many flowers I saw for Christmas week. There were 3 or 4 types of azaleas, just covered in blooms--these white flowers were one type. They looked so fresh and clean the heavy rain the night before. 12/29/19 Judith Sparhawk

This pretty bougainvillea plant was photographed on one of my daily walks in the neighborhood. This plant grows well here, and is thickly covered with blooms right now.
