I was driving in Imperial County near Salton Sea, and was surprised to see flower fields. Although there is lots of agriculture in that area, I've never seen flowers before. I liked the little tractor in the field.
This just-opening lotus flower was photographed at Echo Park, Los Angeles, California.
Once the sun came out, several types of dragonflies began flitting over the lotus bed. This Blue Dasher was the one type that seemed to stop and rest, which was most appreciated by me and my camera. Echo Park, Los Angeles. Judith Sparhawk
