In the gardens at San Diego Safari Park, there were lots of pretty flowers. I noticed these petunias, which looked different from any I'd seen before. I liked their sort-of star shape and their unusual coloring. 4/12/19 Judith Sparhawk
This is a filtered version of a bouquet of roses from the flower show I attended last weekend. The lighting was poor, and I only had my cell phone with me, so I wasn't happy with the original shot. After using a couple of filters, I liked the pale, ghostly look to the roses--it wouldn't work for everything, but I liked it for these roses. Happy May Day! 5/1/19 Judith Sparhawk
This very unusual flower was growing in the gardens at San Diego Safari Park the other day. I'd never seen anything like it, so of course I had to take a few quick shots. It may be of African origin, but if anyone knows what it is, I'd love to know.
