The original version of this image was taken at the butterfly exhibit at San Diego Safari Park last April. Last night I started playing with the shot and ended up with this painterly version. I liked the sunshiny look of it, hoping for a few sunny days after all this gray and rain. 5/24/19 Judith Sparhawk
These very pretty water lilies were photographed in the lake at Echo Park in Los Angeles, CA. In one section of the lake is a large bed of lotus plants, in the other section a wide range of water lilies. I purposely included surrounding lily pads, for the shapes and textures. 5/22/19 Judith Sparhawk
