At the farm where the Lavender Festival was held there was a very large cactus plant, its spear towering up to 8 feet tall. This was the one blossom it had, one that blooms at night and lasts only one day. I was glad to catch what may have been its last flower of the season.
I ran across quite a lot of these beautiful golden daisy-type flowers. This was a shot of three of them.
In the Pond ~ These papyrus plants were in one of the lakes at the Los Angeles Aboretum. I liked the textures.
