This image is from several years ago when I visited Keys Ranch, an old ranch within the Joshua Tree National Park grounds. There were several old cars that had been out in the desert elements for years, and their windows were cracked and corroded. This is a close up of one of the old weathered windows, cropped, and adjusted for color on the computer. 2/28/20
So I think this is the last of the abstracts for awhile. I think I have chosen the abstracts I will be entering into the upcoming show. This one is an abstract made from a not-very-interesting view of a building in downtown Los Angeles. It had columns in front, recessed doors with decorative metal grillwork above. Using filtering, I ended up liking the finished image. You never know just what you'll get, and that's part of the fun of it! 3/7/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
A couple of days ago I posted a shot of bubbles from the sudsy dishwater in my kitchen sink. This is a different view of the bubbles, with some added colors. The radiating lines were from shadows of the bubbles on the reflective surface of a pan lid. I thought it made a neat abstract, and no one needs to know it was from my dirty dishes! 5/8/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
