The original title for this abstract was Starling Spectacular. I realized that title wouldn't mean anything without the back story. The original photo was taken at a zoo, of a particular African (?) Starling--don't remember the full name. It had glossy iridescent colors in its feathers, and was just beautiful. It had spread itself out on the ground, wings spread, I imagine to get warm from the sun. I photographed it, but later, it looked like a dead bird all spread out on the ground, and wasn't one I wanted to show. I used PS filter, Liquify, and made this abstract with all the colors. The yellow in the bottom left was from its bill. I thought it made a beautiful abstract, way better than the dead bird look!
