Still working on abstracts. This was made from a pic of an apartment house in Chinatown in Los Angeles. I took it a long time ago, and I liked the shadows, red railings and the laundry hanging on one of the balconies, but overall it was kind of boring. Once I turned it into this abstract, I liked the effect. 3/1/20
This image is from several years ago when I visited Keys Ranch, an old ranch within the Joshua Tree National Park grounds. There were several old cars that had been out in the desert elements for years, and their windows were cracked and corroded. This is a close up of one of the old weathered windows, cropped, and adjusted for color on the computer. 2/28/20
So I think this is the last of the abstracts for awhile. I think I have chosen the abstracts I will be entering into the upcoming show. This one is an abstract made from a not-very-interesting view of a building in downtown Los Angeles. It had columns in front, recessed doors with decorative metal grillwork above. Using filtering, I ended up liking the finished image. You never know just what you'll get, and that's part of the fun of it! 3/7/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
