Orange & Blues
Playing with abstracts, working with textures and colors.
Abstract in Browns
Working with colors, going from a bright pallette to one of textured browns. This one makes me think of primitive early man art, maybe inside a cave somewhere. I know that's a stretch, but it gives me that sense.
Playing with Topaz lens effects, triple stacking--something I hadn't noticed before.
Playing with cropping and colors of a previous abstract. The original photo was of a decorative purple velvet cape from the Renaissance Faire. It has come a long way since then!
Fun again playing with bubbles and all their colors and reflectivity.
Playing with bubbles, color and light.
There were lovely colors in the feathers on a a duck. I used this photograph to create this abstract. I liked the way you could still see some of the texture of the feathers.
Bird of Paradise Abstract
Playing with archived images, staying inside with the a/c. This one is of a filtered version of a beautiful bird of paradise flower.
Just playing with filters, having fun with abstracts.
California Poppy Abstract
Fun playing with filters, a CA poppy image.
Pink Hibiscus Abstract
Fun with flowers and filters.
After shooting a window with shadows, I decided to make it into an abstract. I liked the way the lines and patterns worked together.
For all who saw my black and white window yesterday, this is an abstract that I created with the window image. I thought it was fun.
Orange and Blue
Filtering archived images to make abstracts.
One of the glass vases in a booth at the Renaissance Faire was beautiful, and a close up made a nice abstract.
Playing with filters and images in the archives.
At the Renaissance Faire one of the vendors had a beautiful purple satin cape with this great design in gold and other colors. Having no use for a gorgeous purple satin cape ( my superhero or formal wear days being over), I just took this photo of it instead.
When I was at the Renaissance Faire last April, one of the vendors had a beautiful purple embroidered cape. I took a few shots of it, and all these months later, decided to play with filters and see what I could do. This is one of them.
Purple Glory Abstract
A cropped view of the filtered cape shot. I loved the details and colors on this. I think this is my favorite of all the cape abstracts I created.
Yet another abstract created from the photos of the cape from the Renn Faire.
When I was out birding, I noticed the pretty reflections on a nearby pond. There were palm trees and blue sky, and they were much prettier and more dramatic in the reflection than in real life. I thought it made a nice abstract.
Playing with bubbles, creating a swirl of bubble color.
Slinky in Red & Blue
One image from a Slinky shoot I did, using abstract photographs of mine in the background for color.
