This is a reworking of a photo I took several years ago when I visited the Sam Maloof House and Gardens in Alta Vista, CA. The original shot was of this garden with a statue in memory of Alfreda Maloof, Sam's decease wife. It had such a wonderfully whimsical look to it, I decided it needed butterflies and a blue sky with puffy white clouds.

A painterly version of an image of a ristra shop in Mesilla, New Mexico. These strings of dried peppers, called ristras, are commonly used for decoration, as well as for cooking with the spicy peppers.
