This is an altered version of the almost empty Salsify seadhead that I posted a week or two ago. The previous version was in b&w. For this one, I eliminated the third stem, which was out of focus anyway, and added a textured effect. I ended up liking this more artistic effect. 8/19/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
In keeping with the theme of "Make A Wish" of yesterday's post, this shot shows a Western Salsify seadhead, with only a couple of "wishes" left! Better hurry and make that wish! ;-) Taken in the San Bernardino Mountains in July. 8/9/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
A few days ago a Smugger posted a photograph of a bookstore (I believe somewhere in the Carolinas) that had painted books all around the exterior of the store. I really liked the look of it, and felt bad that I didn't know where it was, and most certainly would never get to see it in real life. Then it occurred to me that I could make my own bookshop creation, using my own books, especially some that had particular meaning for me. So today I photographed a bunch of books and made this fun composite, including, of course, the shop cat. Perhaps a bunny would have been more timely, since I'm posting it on Easter Sunday! 4/12/20 My website: www.sparhawkphotography.com
