The First Laptop ~ This bas relief sculpture was from Ancient Greek times, seen at the Getty Villa Museum in Malibu, California. I noticed the woman, accompanied by her attandant, who is holding what I interpret to be "the first laptop". I got a kick out of it, and had to photograph it.
Down the Up Staircase ~ This title is a play on the old novel from the 1960's--or 70's ?--"Up The Down Staircase". This is a view looking down the spiral staircase at the Old Point Loma Lighthouse at Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego, California.
Headstone Carving ~ While birding in the Pioneer Memorial Cemetary in San Bernardino, I ran across this headstone, embellished with this lovely carving. It stood still better than the birds nearby, so I actually got several shots of it. I think this was my favorite. edit
