~ This was the first Cape Cod style lighthouse built in California, in 1855. It was high on a hill, and thought to be an ideal site, but was so often obscured by low cloud banks and fog, it was replaced by the "new" Point Loma Lighthouse, down nearer the sea, in 1891.
Marblehead Lighthouse ~ This lighthouse is on the edge of Lake Eirie, at Marblehead, Ohio.
Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, Mendocino Coast ~ This victorian lighthouse is located a few miles north of the Village of Mendocino, on the northern California coast. It was built in 1909 and remains active.
