Went for a drive a few days ago, and went a couple of towns away to the small town of Oak Glen, CA. It is our apple-growing area, and is a little higher elevation than Redlands. It was quite snowy from the recent storm. I stopped at the little one room schoolhouse, which now serves as a museum for the local area. The interior looks much as it did as a school, with the old desks, books, chalkboard, and even a wood-burning stove. 2/24/19 Judith Sparhawk
This is a view of the exterior of the train depot in Barstow, California, along Route 66. I liked the shadows and textures, as well as the architectural detains of arches, columns, and brickwork. 2/16/19 Judith Sparhawk
In contrast to the architecture of the courthouse. just a couple of blocks away is the Riverside City Hall, a much more modern building. It is six stories high, with these scallop shaped windows on each floor. I liked the modern style clock at the side of the building. 2/5/19 Judith Sparhawk
