This is a view of the moon bridge in the Japanese Garden in the Huntington Library Gardens in San Marino, California. I haven't been able to go there for a long time--looking forward to the next time is can, and see all the lovely garden areas. 3/21/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
I was driving home in Redlands Friday night, and drove down a street I haven't been on for awhile, and spotted this wonderful lighted window in a church. I took a quick pic and kept on driving. I don't remember what church it was, and I haven't yet gone back to check, but I really liked the details, the colors, and the bright light in the night. 7/18/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
This is a view of part of San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside, California. The two different types of towers were characteristic of the missions built up and down the state by the Franciscan missionaries from Spain. There were 21 missions in all, covering 650 miles, from San Diego to Sonoma. The first one was built in San Diego in 1769. This one, the largest, was completed in 1798. The oldest Pepper Tree in California, planted from a seed from Peru in 1830, still grows in the courtyard. 6/19/21 www.sparhawkphotography.com
