~ I saw this old barn when traveling in Washington State. It was close to where Chuckanut Drive heads up the hill toward Bellingham. I'd photographed it quite a few years ago, but was never that happy with what I got. Several years later I went back to try again, and it was gone! That was a lesson to me--shoot it while you can. At any rate, I liked the overgrown flowering plants spilling out of the windows. I've since digitized the old negatives, and am beginning to like it a little better.
The Old Barn ~ This Washington barn appealed to me as I drove by, so of course I had to make one of my famous U-turns. I liked the way the flowers were growing in the windows and how everything is so green and lush in Washington, very different from Southern California where I live.
~ This is one of the main reading rooms at the A.K. Smiley Library in Redlands, California. This historic building has many beautiful architectural details. I really liked the way these details are reflected on the surface of the tables.
