Window Abstract
After shooting a window with shadows, I decided to make it into an abstract. I liked the way the lines and patterns worked together.
Shadows
I was walking around downtown Redlands on a photo shoot and noticed this window. I liked the way the shadows from the bars showed up on the curtains and the window edges.
Lagunitas Grocery ~ On vacation in Marin County recently, I drove past this old grocery store on the way out to Point Reyes. It immediately took me back to my childhood in this area--aside from ATM's and fancy coffees, this could have been there 50-60 years ago. I don't even know if Lucas Valley Dairy still exists, but it was like coming "home" to see this scene.

This interesting gate, typical of the southwest, was part of a wall surrounding a home in the small town of Rodeo, New Mexico. I couldn't resist taking a few shots of it.

Afternoon Meeting on the Stairs
Although I don't usually photograph artwork, I was quite taken with the mural on the wall above the stairway at my local movie theater. In this one I combined the actual stairway railing with the mural stairs, cropping it down to this tender moment on the stairs.
The Garden Door
~ This door marked the entrance to an experimental garden at Living Desert in Palm Desert, California. I liked the wood grain and metal work. I always like doorways and passageways, with their sense of entering into the unknown.
Meeting at Dusk on the Stairs
I had fun working with this portion of the mural, using Topaz Adjust, to take it from a bright afternoon to dusk. The railing on the bottom right is the actual stairway railing, and the rest is the mural.
Stairway to Delights
The mural at the top of the stairs in the movie theater shows vintage views of people out on the town. It has great details. Redlands, California.

Harmony Wedding Chapel
This unique little wedding chapel was built around a large wine keg. It is in Harmony, California, a small "town" boasting a population of 18. It is a few miles from Cambria, a beach town on the central California coast.

Denver Airport Colors ~ Having an unexpected 5 hour layover in Denver Airport, I took my camera out of the bag and wandered a bit. This structure with colorful neon lights was in Terminal B, and encompassed part of the moving walkway. I photographed it from several angles, and almost forgot to be mad about that layover....
Color Cafe ~ On the upstairs level, under the neon structure, a man sat relaxing with his laptop in the cafe. I liked the reflections of the lights on the glass below. Denver International Airport.
