Xan in Purple
Another view of Xan, in purple rather than blue.
Lost in Time
I love juxtaposing the unexpected in my photographs...in this case the historic and present day. Sometimes it evokes a laugh, and sometimes it is thought-provoking. Either way, it requires a second look.
Working with layers, loving the blue and the beautiful Xan.
Emergence ~ The Clouds
Another in my Emergence series.
Feeling in a fantasy mood, staying out of the heat.
Emergence in Purple
Variation on a theme, fun with bubbles.

Having fun with double exposures. A possible image for my upcoming Featured Artist Show, themed: Bending Reality.
In the Looking Glass
I am always excited when I see a mirror or reflections in windows that allow me to photograph people without their awareness. This mirror was at a jewelry booth at the Renaissance Faire. I watched while several people were reflected in it.
Dancing on the Grass
Playing with several images of this dancer at the Renaissance Faire last spring. I liked the feeling of abandon by the dancers.

San Timoteo Canyon in Spring
A painterly version of this image from a hike in San Timoteo Canyon, Redlands, CA.
Running in Flowers
This is a reworking of a photo I took several years ago when I visited the Sam Maloof House and Gardens in Alta Vista, CA. The original shot was of this garden with a statue in memory of Alfreda Maloof, Sam's decease wife. It had such a wonderfully whimsical look to it, I decided it needed butterflies and a blue sky with puffy white clouds.
Doors in Harmony
A painterly version of this set of double doors, photographed in Harmony, California.
The Ristra Shop
A painterly version of an image of a ristra shop in Mesilla, New Mexico. These strings of dried peppers, called ristras, are commonly used for decoration, as well as for cooking with the spicy peppers.

This is a composite of the "cabins" as they are called, an old habitation in the Valley of Fire in Nevada. I added a painterly look and an Indian maiden for extra interest.

Dance With Clay Jugs
This woman was one of the belly dancers in a group dance with the clay water jugs. Renaissance Pleasure Faire.
Meesha was a model at a shoot I went to earlier in the year. i really liked her look.
I ran across this old sheet music from the 1950's--remember swooning to this song performed on the Hit Parade. (I suspect most of you aren't old enough to recall all this.) I decided to use the music to lend a romantic feel to a layered image.
Reworking an image from a shoot earlier in the year.
