I am always attracted to doors, gates, passageways. This door pull was on a garden gate at The Living Desert in Palm Desert, California. I liked the shapes, the wood grain, the shadow.

Afternoon Meeting on the Stairs
Although I don't usually photograph artwork, I was quite taken with the mural on the wall above the stairway at my local movie theater. In this one I combined the actual stairway railing with the mural stairs, cropping it down to this tender moment on the stairs.

I had fun working with this portion of the mural, using Topaz Adjust, to take it from a bright afternoon to dusk. The railing on the bottom right is the actual stairway railing, and the rest is the mural.

Denver Airport Colors ~ Having an unexpected 5 hour layover in Denver Airport, I took my camera out of the bag and wandered a bit. This structure with colorful neon lights was in Terminal B, and encompassed part of the moving walkway. I photographed it from several angles, and almost forgot to be mad about that layover....

~ Had a fun shoot at the Getty Villa in Malibu, California. This museum is built after a first century Roman villa, and has many beautiful details. I fell in love with the many columns and their decorative tops, and various building and garden views.
